Dear Present Columbine Poets, Inc. members,
As we enter our 45th year as an affiliated society with the National Federation of State Poetry Societies, Columbine Poets, Inc. is conducting its annual membership drive. This means it’s time to consider renewing your membership in Columbine Poets for 2023! Please review the following before paying either here online or by check:
2023 Dues for all chapters are $25 for a Basic Membership, regardless of your chapter or if you are a Member at-Large. This covers both state and national dues in NFSPS. As a member of Columbine Poets, you are eligible to enter all NFSPS contests, submitting to the upcoming Member's anthology, and the Columbine members’ contest in June. (Online renewals have an additional $2 handling charge.)
Supporting Memberships: If you would like to add $5 to your $25 Basic Membership to support both statewide youth poetry contests and the assistance fund for Sponsored Memberships, make your check/payment to Columbine Poets for a total of $30. (Online renewals have an additional $2 handling charge.)
The Foothills Chapter mainly serves residents within the Denver Metro area by way of weekly workshops, either in person or on Zoom. This allows for any member to join us virtually for meetings. Your dues of $25 pay for these weekly workshops, and you will be invited sometime to prepare a workshop for the group. Note: If you want to know about events happening in other chapters, contact our Membership Secretary email@example.com and she will put you in contact with someone from that chapter.
Sponsored Membership: If you would like to join or rejoin Columbine Poets, but face a financial hardship, you may pay $5 toward your dues, and the remainder of the cost of your membership will be covered by Columbine Poets funds. See the Membership Form for details. We want everyone to feel welcome!
Shavano Poets should pay your membership dues directly to Jean Hanfelt, who will then pay Columbine with one check for the total Shavano group. Do not send your personal check to the PO Box.
Columbine Poets, Inc. is a registered Colorado non-profit organization. Your dues may be tax-deductible if you itemize your taxes. Check with your tax preparer.
Thanks for your participation in Columbine Poets!
